The Government of Republic of Malawi has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the RESILIENT AND STRATEGIC TRANSPORT OPERATIONAL ENHANCE PROJECT (RESTORE)- Project ID: P500625 and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and delivery of Laboratory Equipment for The Central Materials Laboratory. "For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank's Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing." 2.

The Roads Authority on behalf of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works now invites sealed Bids from the eligible bidders for Supply and delivery of Laboratory Equipment for The Central Materials Laboratory. The RfB provides a list of the equipment required with a delivery period is 90days and consist of: Lot No. Description 1 Multi-purpose Drilling Rig with accessories; 2 Tracked Cable Percussion Drilling Rig (SPT-Ready), complete with tooling and accessories; 3 Universal Testing Machine (UTM) - 2000kN capacity - for steel and concrete strength testing; System for Calibration of Compression, Tension & CBR Machines 4 Double Cabin 4x4 Pick-up; 10-ton Boom Truck/10 Tonne truck (Hiab) with mounted back crane.

Bidding will be conducted through International Competitive Procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank's Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, Procurement in Investment Project Financing, Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, Fifth Edition, September 2025 ("Procurement Regulations"), and is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in the Procurement Regulations. 4.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Roads Authority, Procurement Manager , Attention: Email: ipc@ra.org.mw and inspect the bidding documents during office hours between 08:00 to 12:00 in the morning and 13:00 to 16:00 in the afternoon from Monday to Friday, except public holidays at the address given at the end of this RFB. 5.
